W matchup win · T5 top-five scoring week · score shown beneath
Team Jensen lost for the first time and still scored a point. Jensen put up 136.76, the third-best score of the week, and ran into Team Carnahan's season-high 164.16. That is the format working as designed: Jensen is now five for five on top-five finishes, which is why they lead by two points despite Shough Stopper having 35 more points for.
Shough Stopper and Team Carvalho show the other side. Both are 4–1 with the league's best and fourth-best records, but Shough has three top-five weeks and Carvalho only two. Carvalho won Week 5 with 128.04 and missed the top five by 2.64 points. They are tied at 6 with His Airdness and Team Lackey, who are each only 3–2.
Team Carnahan is 1–4 and has three top-five weeks. That is 4 points, the same as Team Whitehead at 2–3. Cee Deez Nuts (2–3) sits a point ahead of both on the strength of three top-five finishes. In this league, losing to the week's top scorer only costs half the week.
The cut line keeps landing near 130 and keeps being close. Three of the five weeks were decided by less than four points at the top-five line. The cut has climbed from about 110 to 131 as rosters settle. A team that wants to stay in the top-five race needs a lineup that can reach the low 130s, which rewards starting the higher-ceiling FLEX option over the safer one.
Scoring format note: through Week 9, every team plays every other team once and both points are live (matchup win plus top five, maximum two per week). From Week 10 the matchups stop counting and each weekly top-five finish earns two points.

Barkley looks likely to return. Barkley missed the Week 5 London game with his hamstring injury. Nick Sirianni said Monday he is "hopeful" Barkley plays Sunday against Carolina. Wednesday's practice report is the first real signal. If Barkley is limited or better on Wednesday, he starts. If he does not practice, add Dameon Pierce for free Wednesday morning.
Justin scored 115.00 in Week 5. That finished 8th and lost to Cee Deez Nuts (154.62), so it earned no points. It was 15.68 short of the cut line. The bench was not the problem: Malik Washington's 12.1 would have added about 7 points over Rome Odunze's 5.0, which was not enough. Over the season, Justin's lineups have averaged about 108 points, roughly 20 short of where the cut line has settled.
| Player | Pos | Bye | Wk 4 | Wk 5 | Status and outlook |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Josh Allen | QB | 7 | 18.5 | 30.5 | Healthy. Week 7 bye, so a streamer comes next Tuesday. |
| Jonathan Taylor | RB | 13 | 22.7 | 11.2 | Healthy, every-week RB1. |
| Saquon Barkley | RB | 10 | 2.0 | 0.0 | Questionable Hamstring. Missed Week 5. Sirianni is "hopeful" for Week 6 against Carolina. |
| J.K. Dobbins | RB | 10 | 7.2 | 15.4 | Best game of the season, but he is still sharing with RJ Harvey. He is the RB2 if Barkley sits and a FLEX if Barkley plays. |
| Rachaad White | RB | 7 | 0.0 | 3.0 | Back from his shoulder injury and played 71% of snaps, including every third down. He produced only 20 yards. The role is real; the production has not followed. Week 7 bye. |
| Keaton Mitchell | RB | 7 | 11.3 | 5.9 | Lost the Chargers' snap lead. In Week 5 Kimani Vidal played 28 snaps, Mitchell 23 and Omarion Hampton 20. A three-way split with the lowest projected role. Week 7 bye. Drop candidate. |
| Zay Flowers | WR | 13 | 25.8 | 14.6 | Healthy, every-week starter. |
| Terry McLaurin | WR | 7 | 0.0 | 12.2 | Back from his hamstring injury. Week 7 bye. |
| Jameson Williams | WR | 6 | 16.2 | 18.7 | Bye this week Two good weeks in a row. |
| Rome Odunze | WR | 10 | 15.4 | 5.0 | Healthy. Volatile. |
| Malik Washington | WR | 6 | 12.0 | 12.1 | Bye this week Four straight weeks above 11 points. |
| KC Concepcion | WR | 5 | 11.4 | 1.5 | Concussion Left Week 5 in the first quarter after a hit to the head and is in the protocol. He could miss Week 6. His bye has passed, so keep him. |
| George Kittle | TE | 8 | 17.0 | 7.4 | Healthy. Week 8 bye is covered by Andrews. |
| Mark Andrews | TE | 13 | 13.7 | 4.8 | Keep for the Week 8 Kittle bye. |
| Jordyn Tyson (IR) | WR | 11 | — | — | Hamstring. Return expected around Weeks 7–9. |
Week 6 (this week): Jameson Williams and Malik Washington are both off, and Concepcion may be out. The receivers left are Flowers, McLaurin and Odunze, so one FLEX goes to a running back: Dobbins, White, or Mitchell. Marks would take that FLEX. Week 7: Allen, McLaurin, White and Mitchell all have byes, which is four players. The QB is streamed. Barkley, Dobbins and Marks would cover RB/FLEX. Week 8: Kittle (Andrews covers him) and Marks (Houston bye).
Results from the October 7 processing night: Team Jensen paid $15 for Tyreek Hill, who is now listed as OUT. His Airdness paid $15 for T.J. Hockenson, and its $10 bid on Jacoby Brissett failed (he was picked up free hours later). Bijan Mustard won Will Shipley at $8 (and dropped him the next morning), Devaughn Vele at $6, and one more player at $1. On October 9 Justin won Keaton Mitchell for $1, the only claim that night. Since then, every move has been a $0 free-agent add.
| Team | FAAB left | Waiver order | Bidding history |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cee Deez Nuts | $100 | 1 | Has never won a claim. |
| Team Lackey | $100 | 2 | Has never won a claim. Has an RB need (Henderson doubtful, Monangai and Dowdle questionable). |
| Shough Stopper | $91 | 3 | Won Josh Downs at $8 and McMillan at $1. Has a deep RB room. |
| Team Carvalho | $33 | 4 | Biggest bidder in the league: Braelon Allen $51, Goff $10, Black $5. Owns David Montgomery. |
| Team Carnahan | $89 | 5 | Schultz $8, Stroud $3. Has a full RB room (Gibbs, Jeanty, Irving, Jones). |
| Team Stowell | $98 | 6 | Desperate at RB (Jacobs day-to-day, Etienne and Brooks on IR), but has never bid more than $6. |
| His Airdness | $85 | 7 | $30 losing bid on Braelon Allen, $15 on Hockenson. Willing to pay. RBs are Kyren Williams, Javonte Williams, and Conner on IR. |
| Team Jensen | $75 | 8 | Vele $9, Hill $15. Has a deep RB room. |
| Bijan Mustard | $22 | 9 | Most active claimer, but has only $22 left and owns Charbonnet and Gordon. |
| Team Whitehead | $82 | 10 | Last in waiver order, so Justin loses every tie. Avoid round numbers. |
Marks is this week's consensus #1 running back add (NFL.com, Bleacher Report, RotoBaller). Bleacher Report suggests $15–25 in a $100 league. In this league, the last three consensus top-RB adds went for $51 (Braelon Allen), $17 (Ollie Gordon) and $8 (Shipley, who was obviously temporary). Here are the teams with both a need and a bidding history:
The expected winning price is in the high teens to mid-20s, unless Carvalho goes all in. $27 beats every bid His Airdness has placed except the $30 on Allen, and still leaves Justin $55. The only way to be sure of winning is $34, one dollar more than Carvalho's whole budget. That is 41% of Justin's FAAB for about two weeks as a starter followed by a backup role, and I would not pay it.
Conviction: medium-high on the player, medium on winning at this price · Expected competition: Carvalho (likely), His Airdness (possible) · $1 wins? No
Before the injury, Marks was already scoring 8 to 12 points a week as Houston's change-of-pace back. When Montgomery left Week 5 early, Marks took 19 touches for 85 yards, and Ryans said he "will carry the load." Montgomery is week-to-week, so assume Marks leads the backfield for Week 6 (London, against Jacksonville, 7:30am MT Sunday) and probably Week 7. Houston's bye is Week 8. After Montgomery returns, Marks is still a 9-point committee back. That is more than Mitchell offers now.
Why it fits Justin's roster: the bye map leaves an RB-sized hole in the FLEX for each of the next two weeks. Mitchell and White both have Week 7 byes, and Mitchell is now third in snaps in his own backfield. Replacing about 6 projected points with 12 to 14 in a starting slot is worth 12 to 16 points over two weeks. Three of five cut lines this season were decided by under four points. Marks also takes the obvious handcuff from Carvalho, Justin's opponent this week.
If he loses: keep Mitchell, and start Dobbins and White in the RB/FLEX spots. Check Wednesday morning for Kendre Miller or Dameon Pierce as free adds.
Conviction: high
Germie Bernard (Steelers, now the WR2 with Pittman on IR) is the best receiver on the wire. He would not start for Justin over Flowers, McLaurin, Williams, Odunze or Washington. Strange, Freiermuth, Henry and Higbee are all good streaming tight ends. Justin has Kittle, and Andrews covers the bye. Those bids can go to teams that need those positions.
Conviction: medium
White's results look like a drop: 3.0 points, and 0.0 the week before because of injury. His usage says otherwise. He played 71% of snaps, all of the third-down snaps, and 81% of early-down snaps in 11 personnel. Austin Ekeler played only six snaps. Snap share predicts future points better than one bad game does. White becomes the next drop if Marks is won and a Wednesday free agent (Pierce, if Barkley is out) is worth more.
Most of the pool will still be there Wednesday morning. Last week, only five claims cleared on the Wednesday run, and the rest of the pool went for $0. As always, grab anything you want before Bijan Mustard's early-morning adds.
The Marks call is solid as a player evaluation. Montgomery's timeline is the main uncertainty. "Week-to-week" could mean only one game, and if Montgomery returns in Week 7 Marks is a one-week starter before his bye. The bid amount is a guess about two specific managers. Carvalho may bid all $33 to protect Montgomery's backfield, and if so, Justin should let him. $27 is a price for a player who helps Justin win a standings point or two, not a price for winning at any cost.
A note on sharing: this page shows the exact bid. If it is shared with the league before about 1am MT Wednesday, Carvalho and His Airdness can see the number to beat.
