The weekly top-five cut line

What the table says

Team Jensen has finished in the top five six weeks out of six. No other team has more than four. That is why Jensen leads by three points while sitting third in points for. Jensen has never had the league's best week; it just never has a bad one. In a format that pays for ceiling, steady has still been enough, because the cut line has never been higher than 131.

Week 6 was a low-scoring week, and the cut line fell to 110.86. Team Carnahan missed it by 0.26 points, after Shough Stopper's lineup squeaked in at 110.86. That is the third time in six weeks the gap between fifth and sixth was under three points. Shough Stopper has the most points for in the league (775.54) and is tied for second, behind a team that has scored 22 fewer points.

Three teams are tied at 8 points behind Jensen. Shough Stopper, Team Carvalho and Team Lackey are separated only by points for. Carvalho is 5–1 but has only three top-five weeks; Lackey and Shough are 4–2 with four each. Below them, five teams sit between 4 and 6 points, so one good week can move a team three or four places.

Low weeks are where points are cheapest. In Week 6 a 111-point lineup earned a top-five point. In Week 5 it took 131. Nobody can predict which kind of week it will be, so the only lineup rule that holds is the one this table keeps showing: when two options are close, start the one with the higher ceiling.

Scoring format note: Weeks 7, 8 and 9 finish the round robin, with both points live (matchup win plus top five, maximum two per week). From Week 10 the matchups stop counting and each weekly top-five finish earns two points.

Waiver Report (Tuesday)

Generated Tuesday, October 20, 2026, about 2:30pm MT · all Week 6 games final (Monday night included) · league data pulled live from the ESPN API · the whole pool is on waivers until claims process Wednesday, October 21, at about 1:00am MT

The short version

  1. Terry McLaurin is done for the season. He tore his patellar tendon Monday night against San Francisco. Drop him; he isn't eligible for the IR slot until ESPN changes his designation, and the slot already holds Jordyn Tyson.
  2. The Week 7 quarterback: C.J. Stroud (Texans, vs. Giants), bid $3, drop McLaurin. This is the Allen-bye streamer planned since September. Stroud has scored 20.9 to 23.1 points in three of his last four games and gets a home game against the Giants. Nobody else in the league needs a QB this week, so $3 is insurance, not a fight.
  3. The one real bid: Omar Cooper Jr. (WR, Jets), $16, drop Keaton Mitchell. Cooper is the consensus top receiver on the wire. In his first game back from IR he ran a route on about 85% of dropbacks, saw a 24% target share and scored 22.3 points. He replaces McLaurin's spot in the receiver rotation.
  4. Everything else waits until Wednesday morning, including David Montgomery, who is sitting unclaimed on the wire and is worth a look after Houston's Week 8 bye.

Barkley plays Monday night, which is a trap. Barkley has missed Weeks 5 and 6 with his hamstring and hasn't practiced. The Eagles call a Week 7 return against Dallas "realistic." But Philadelphia plays the last game of the week. If Barkley is a game-time decision on Monday, he can only be swapped for another Monday player. Unless he practices fully by Friday, don't start him in a FLEX that will need a backup. Jalen Hurts is also out for the season (blood clots), and Tanner McKee is starting, which lowers the ceiling of everyone in the Eagles offense.

Where the roster stands

Justin scored 95.60 in Week 6. That was 7th of 10, and he lost to Team Carvalho (138.70), so the week earned no points. The miss was 15.26 short of the cut line, and about 14 of those points sat on the bench: Rachaad White scored 15.7 behind Mark Andrews' 1.4 in the FLEX. The swap would have produced 109.9, still 0.96 short of the line. McLaurin was hurt during the game and scored 3.7.

The bye map

Week 7 (this week): Allen, McLaurin, White and Mitchell are off: Buffalo, Washington and the Chargers are all on bye, along with Jacksonville. The lineup that's left is a streamed QB, Taylor and Dobbins at RB, Flowers and Williams at WR, Kittle at TE, and two FLEX spots from Odunze, Washington, Concepcion, Cooper (if won) and Barkley (if healthy). Week 8: Kittle is off, and Andrews covers him. Houston (Stroud, Montgomery) and New Orleans (Tyson) are also off. Week 9: Tyson is likely to come off IR, which will need a roster spot. The streamed QB is the natural drop then.

The FAAB market, updated

Results from the October 14 processing night: This Sucks (formerly Bijan Mustard) won Woody Marks for $18. Team Carvalho and His Airdness each lost at $15, and Cee Deez Nuts bid $4, its first claim of the season. Last week's report recommended $27; no Team Whitehead claim appears in the log, so Justin didn't bid. His Airdness also won Pat Freiermuth for $15, Team Carnahan won Germie Bernard for $5, and This Sucks won Brandin Cooks for $1 (then dropped him for Brian Thomas Jr. the same afternoon). Since then every move has been a $0 free-agent add. Carvalho dropped David Montgomery for Dameon Pierce on October 14, and nobody has picked Montgomery up in the six days since.

The pattern now has six weeks of evidence. The consensus #1 add goes for $15 to $18 (Hill $15, Marks $18, Gordon $17), with one $51 outlier. Everything outside the top one or two names goes for $0 to $5. His Airdness bids exactly $15 almost every time ($15 Marks, $15 Hockenson, $15 Freiermuth). Justin is 7th in waiver order and His Airdness is 8th, so Justin wins a tie with them.

TeamFAAB leftWaiver orderBidding history and Week 7 need
Cee Deez Nuts$1001First bid ever last week ($4). Deep at WR.
Team Lackey$1002Has never placed a claim. Davante Adams is OUT, so there is a WR need. Justin's Week 7 opponent.
Shough Stopper$913Downs $8, McMillan $1. Deep everywhere, three QBs.
Team Carvalho$334Allen $51, Goff $10, Black $5, lost Marks at $15. Deep at WR.
Team Stowell$985Largest bid ever $6. A.J. Brown questionable and Doubs on IR, so a real WR need.
Team Jensen$756Vele $9, Hill $15. Deep roster.
Team Whitehead$827Loses ties to the six teams above, wins ties against the three below.
His Airdness$708Bids $15 by habit. Evans and DJ Moore questionable; Hurts out for the season, but Mahomes and Brissett are rostered.
Team Carnahan$849Bernard $5, Schultz $8. Dropped Stroud last week.
This Sucks$310Has spent $97. Effectively out of the bidding.

The moves, in order

1. Add C.J. Stroud (QB, Texans): bid $3, drop Terry McLaurin

Conviction: high on the need, medium-high on Stroud over the alternatives · Expected competition: none likely · $1 wins? Probably

Stroud's last four weeks: 11.7, 23.1, 20.9, 23.0. He threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns against Jacksonville and has averaged about 307 yards and two touchdowns over his last three. Week 7 is a home game against a Giants team that just benched its quarterback, which usually means a favorable game script. ESPN projects him at 19.2, essentially tied with Aaron Rodgers (19.5) for the best free QB this week. I prefer Stroud for the role: Rodgers is playing in Paris against New Orleans, and he finished with 16.0 last week. Jaylin Noel has given him a deep threat, with 85, 41 and 107 yards in his last three games.

Why bid at all when nobody needs a QB? Because this is a mandatory slot, and a $3 claim locks it in before the Wednesday-morning free-agent rush. This Sucks has made most of the league's early-Wednesday adds, and starts Bryce Young. The only cost is three dollars Justin isn't likely to need.

If he loses: add Aaron Rodgers or Michael Penix Jr. (vs. San Francisco, 23.1 points last week) for free Wednesday morning. Kyler Murray (home vs. Indianapolis, 18.0 projected) is also free; he faces Jonathan Taylor's team, which slightly hedges the matchup.

McLaurin is the drop because his season is over. His ESPN rest-of-season projection is 0.

2. Add Omar Cooper Jr. (WR, Jets): bid $16, drop Keaton Mitchell

Conviction: medium on the player, medium on winning at this price · Expected competition: His Airdness (likely $15), Team Stowell and Team Lackey (need, but no bidding history) · $1 wins? No

Cooper is the consensus top receiver add this week: FantasyPros ranks him in its top two, Yahoo suggests $14, and Fantasy Life suggests 22.5% of budget. His first game back from IR was a real role, not a fluke touchdown: he was on the field for about 85% of snaps and routes and drew 7 targets (24% target share), which he turned into 6 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. Garrett Wilson takes the top coverage, which leaves Cooper as the Jets' second option. Week 7 is at home against Miami.

Why it fits Justin's roster: McLaurin's injury leaves five healthy receivers for two WR spots and part of two FLEX spots, and three of them (Odunze, Washington, Concepcion) are projected at about 9 to 10 points. Cooper projects in the same range now, but he has the most room to grow, which is what the cut line rewards. The Jets' bye is Week 13, the same week as Flowers and Taylor, so plan around that later.

Why $16: the consensus #1 add in this league has gone for $15 to $18 in each of the last three weeks. His Airdness bids $15 by habit, and Justin wins a tie with them, but $16 avoids relying on that. Stowell (largest bid ever, $6) and Lackey (no claims ever) both need a receiver but have not shown that they bid. $16 leaves Justin $63 for the last ten weeks, which is still the fourth-largest budget in the league. I would not go above $20: Cooper is a FLEX upgrade, not a lineup fix.

If he loses: no replacement bid is needed. Ryan Flournoy (Dallas, 17.0 points and the team lead in routes in Week 6) and Jaylin Noel should both be free Wednesday morning.

3. Pass on the rest of the wire this week

Conviction: high

Mike Washington Jr. (Raiders RB) is Yahoo's #1 add at $14, but he has scored 2.0 and 6.0 points the last two weeks, ESPN projects him at 5.6, and I couldn't find a usage change that explains the ranking. Kendre Miller and Samaje Perine are committee backs who would not start over Dobbins. Tyrone Tracy Jr. scored two touchdowns on 8 touches because the Giants benched Cam Skattebo for one game. Roschon Johnson loses his role when Kyle Monangai returns. Justin's TE problem is a Week 8 problem, and Andrews already covers it.

Wait and get them free on Wednesday

The October 14 night cleared six claims, and every other player went for $0 the next day. Grab anything you want early Wednesday morning, before the usual early-morning adds.

Drops, justified

How confident to be in all this

The two drops are easy calls. Stroud is a solid one-week stream; his range is about 14 to 25 points, like any streamer. The Cooper price is the uncertain part. One good game after IR isn't a track record, and the bid assumes no one but His Airdness goes past $15. If Lackey, which has $100 and has never placed a claim, decides now is the time, Justin will lose, and that is fine. Barkley's Monday-night status is the biggest lineup risk this week. The Thursday and Saturday checks will make that call.

A note on sharing: this page shows the exact bids. If it is shared with the league before about 1am MT Wednesday, other managers can see the numbers to beat.

Lineup Check (Thursday)

Generated Thursday, October 22, 2026, about 2:30pm MT · before Thursday Night Football (Patriots at Bears, 6:15pm MT) · lineup, projections, schedule and transactions pulled live from the ESPN API · Wednesday and Thursday practice reports · lines as of October 22

The short version

  1. Keep Rome Odunze in the lineup tonight. Medium conviction · locks at 6:15pm MT He is Justin's only player in the Thursday game. He's off the injury report, and the conditions are good. Starting him also keeps Malik Washington available as the backup for Barkley on Sunday.
  2. Keep Saquon Barkley in the lineup for now, and settle it by 11:00am MT Sunday. The real decision this week He plays Monday night, but every healthy bench player kicks off at 11am Sunday. Once those games start, there's no one left to swap in.
  3. The rest of the lineup is already set correctly. Bo Nix at QB, Taylor and Barkley at RB, Flowers and Odunze at WR, Kittle at TE, Jameson Williams and Dobbins at FLEX.

What happened on waivers

The Stroud claim didn't win. His Airdness took him for $15, and also paid $40 for David Montgomery. Justin added Bo Nix as a free agent Tuesday afternoon and dropped McLaurin, so the QB slot is covered. No Cooper claim went in. This Sucks added Omar Cooper Jr. for $0 Wednesday night, so Keaton Mitchell is still on the roster. FAAB is unchanged at $82.

Tonight: Odunze or Washington?

Start Rome Odunze (vs. New England, 6:15pm MT)

Conviction: medium · ESPN projection: Odunze 10.2, Washington 10.2, Concepcion 8.9

ESPN projects these two the same, but they get there in different ways. Odunze is on the field for more than 85% of snaps and routes four weeks running. He has seven deep targets and four red-zone targets this season, and he's the first read on about a fifth of Chicago's passes. His 6.9 points in Week 6 came on only about 60% of routes while he played through a calf injury that kept him out of most practices. This week he's off the injury report completely.

The matchup helps too. Chicago is favored by 2.5 to 3 with a total of 49.5, which implies about 26 points for the Bears. The forecast is 60°F with a 5 mph wind. New England ruled out three cornerbacks (Carlton Davis, Karon Prunty, Channing Canada). The case against him is Christian Gonzalez, and several sit-him calls are built on that matchup. That's why conviction is medium and not high.

Washington has a steadier floor: 30% target share, about seven targets a game. But Miami is a 4.5-point underdog at the Jets in a game with a 38.5–39.5 total, which implies about 17 points for the Dolphins. With a top-five cut line around 130, Justin needs the higher ceiling, and that's Odunze.

The deciding reason is Barkley. If Odunze starts tonight, Washington stays on the bench as the best Sunday fallback if Barkley is ruled out. If Washington starts instead, that fallback becomes Concepcion (questionable) or Mark Andrews.

Barkley: a Monday-night player with a Sunday deadline

Barkley (questionable, hamstring) has missed two games. Reports Wednesday and Thursday said he would practice Thursday and is expected to play Monday against Dallas. Sirianni said, "We'll see where we are as the week progresses." Jalen Hurts is out for the season with blood clots, which hurts the Eagles' offense, but Barkley's touches should hold up.

The trap: Justin's healthy bench players (Washington, Concepcion, Andrews) all play at 11:00am MT Sunday. White and Mitchell are on bye. So the Barkley decision has to be made before 11:00am Sunday, even though he doesn't play until Monday night.

Watch Friday's Eagles injury report and anything from Ian Rapoport or Adam Schefter over the weekend. The Saturday check will make the final call.

Everyone else

Matchup note

Team Lackey has an RB slot problem of its own. Kyle Monangai was ruled out tonight and is still in their lineup. Jordan Love and Matthew Golden are both questionable. TreVeyon Henderson plays tonight for New England.
